Our all-volunteer team is united by a shared passion for building and strengthening communities. We are committed to ensuring that a charity’s involvement in our Gala is more than an opportunity to raise money on a single evening. We seek to create longer-term pathways between attendees and the organizations NetIP Canada supports, so that an introduction at the Gala can lead to greater awareness, volunteer involvement, professional assistance or other continuing engagement.
Our Team
NetIP Canada supports other organizations, amplifies their activities and causes, and uses our networks to connect people with opportunities to participate and contribute.
The Gala’s awards reinforce this philosophy. Those recognized represent different stages of professional life, but share a commitment to combining professional achievement with meaningful impact beyond their careers. The wider network around the Gala is similarly intergenerational. Volunteers, mentors, award recipients and other participants bring different experiences and are themselves contributors in many ways.
Culture, professional achievement and service are not separate features of the Gala; together they create opportunities for people who might otherwise occupy different parts of the city’s civic life to encounter one another and form lasting connections. Over the years, our volunteers have developed the Gala to be a platform that brings together cultural celebration, professional recognition, philanthropy, volunteer engagement and connection across the NCR and beyond.
